When I would still go ahead and when I would scale back
For light rain, clearing mist, or a damp grey morning, I would not automatically cancel the day. I would usually just move the most weather-sensitive items later and protect a steadier route first.
If the forecast clearly points to thunderstorms, strong wind, or sustained heavy rain, I would be much more conservative. The issue is not only the view. It is the loss of control around mountain movement and exposed infrastructure.
